Change to my reviews policy

Posted in Announcements, Reviews

I get a number of requests for reviews, mainly from public relations firms, but most of them don’t fit what my blog is about.

So I’ve just updated my reviews policy, because I realized that I had left the door open for non-information product reviews – though discouraging them quite strongly – but in reality I wasn’t going to review such products.

Really, what I’m blogging about is using your mind to improve your health without products. That’s not to say that all products are ineffective, of course, but they’re not where my focus is.

I also try to stay at the scientific end of the spectrum. Many of my colleagues in hypnotherapy are more at the metaphysical or “New Age” end; I’m not, so I’m not going to promote or review New Age retreats, movies or books. Again, I’m not saying these approaches are never effective, they’re just not what I talk about.

I also don’t do link exchanges, by the way. And, spammers, I don’t want to buy lists of American doctors or dentists, and wouldn’t even if I was American. In fact, if I want to buy anything, I’ll go and look for it.

So what do I review? If you have a website, book, ebook, audio recording, DVD or other informational product that is about improving your health and wellbeing through the use of your mind, I’d like to hear about it and have the opportunity to review it. If I don’t think I can give it a positive review I will tell you so, giving my reasons.

Any review that appears here will be relevant to my main topics and primarily positive.
