My new Pain Management CD is now in the online shop – only $10 NZD. Isn’t it pretty? Kudos goes to Mrinkk for the photo.
On the audio CD are 10 tracks:
- Pain Series Introduction: Introduces the rest of the tracks in the series.
- Therapeutic Relaxation: Enjoy refreshing deep relaxation which de-stresses your mind and body – good for you in any number of ways. (Free sample track.)
- Dissociation: Master mild pain by removing your focus from it to something else.
- Association: Master more severe pain by detaching from the experience.
- Imagery: Control your pain with mental imagery.
- Control Panel: Control your pain with an imaginary control panel.
- Glove Anaesthesia: Numb parts of your body, in preparation for dental work or surgery, for example.
- Displacement of Pain: Change long-term pain into something more bearable.
- Displacement of Self: Go to your happy place.
- Healing with Imagery: Use mental imagery to advance your body’s healing.
These are mostly short tracks, and I imagine that people will play them on repeat. You can read more about the background to these techniques in my posts Pain management part 1: Attention techniques and Pain management part 2: Imagination techniques.
